2025

In 2025, our annual Bigger than Roe event’s focus was to protect our rights and secure our future. We rally to unite those who’ve long been the backbone of progress and to welcome even more voices, to remind our leaders that they serve the people, not the other way around, and build momentum for change that lasts beyond today.

Hosted at the Charles & Helen Solano Wellness Center, Bigger than Roe 2025 was celebrated with live performances & Hot chocolate.

2024

In 2024, our annual Bigger than Roe event takes on a powerful mission. Pueblo Pro-Choice supported Coloradans for Protecting Reproductive Freedom for Proposed Ballot Measure 89. Our Annual Bigger Than Roe March and After Party were dedicated to advocating for this crucial ballot initiative. Ensuring every Coloradan has unobstructed access to reproductive healthcare, free from government interference, and bridging gaps in insurance coverage for public employees such as teachers, firefighters as well as Medicaid recipients.

Together we made a commitment to securing fair access to abortion care without political interference. Standing to protect the right to abortion access and to create a barrier against potential restrictions on abortion access in Colorado’s future.

2023

On January 22, 2023, Pueblo Pro-Choice, in collaboration with Cobalt, hosted its annual Bigger than Roe event, drawing 150 individuals, including prominent figures like Mayor Nick Gradisar, State Sen. Nick Hinrichsen, and Pueblo Democratic Chairwoman Bri Buentello.

Co-Founder and former Director of Pueblo Pro-Choice, Monica Hughes, emphasizes the movement’s significance, stating, “The point of this movement is that it’s bigger than Roe. We can sit here and build back something better than what Roe was. This is to remind people that just because we lost Roe, we are not losing health care. We are not stopping the fight. We’re going to continue to advocate for everyone to get reproductive health care.”
